The founder, CEO and director of Semiwise Professor Asenov, has significant business experience. Professor Asenov was the architect and the CEO of the GoldStandard Simulations (GSS) business vision. Without any venture capital, GSS grew to be the market leader in the simulation of statistical variability and Design Technology Co-Optimisation in year 5 and was acquired by Synopsys in year 6. On exit, GSS returned high value to its shareholders. Professor Asenov is currently the director of two other start-ups, Surecore and Ngenics.
Doctor Evgueniy Stefanov
Senior TCAD manager
Doctor Stefanov is a TCAD, power devices, and ESD design expert. He received an MSc degree in Solid State Physics from Sofia University, Bulgaria in 1980, and a PhD degree in Electronics & Computing Science from TU Sofia, Bulgarie in 1991. His career started at the Institute of Microelectronics, Bulgaria (1980) as a physicist and research associate in the Process & Device Modeling group. Starting 1992 to 1997 he took several positions as a visiting Professor and European fellowships at TU Muenchen, Germany, University of Valladolid, Spain and LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse, France, where he developed TCAD tools for the simulation of power devices. From 1998 to 2023 he was R&D Senior Principal engineer with Motorola, ON Semiconductors, Freescale Semiconductors and NXP Semiconductors in Toulouse, France. He has about 30 granted patents and applications in the field of power device development and ESD design and concepts.
